THE BONES
FOUR ORIGINAL FEATURES, KEPT

What was kept. And why.

01
Original Ford Hall

Built in 1935 as one of Romania’s first modern automotive assembly plants, the hall became a symbol of Bucharest’s industrial expansion.

02
The Crown Pediment

The stepped rooftop crown, now part of the Marketta identity and logo, was an original architectural feature of the Ford façade, restored as a tribute to the building’s heritage.

03
Steel Structure

The original steel trusses and industrial framework were preserved and integrated into the new restoration, keeping the raw character of the former factory alive.

04
Exposed Brick Façades

The hall’s exposed brick façades were preserved and restored as part of the intervention, maintaining the original materiality, proportions, and architectural rhythm of the former Ford factory. Their texture and warm industrial character remain a defining part of the building today.
